According to Bharti Arora, DCP (Traffic) Gurgaon, due to the carelessness of Pink City Expressway Private Limited, NH-8 falling in Gurgaon and surrounding areas witnessed a huge jam yesterday.
The Gurgaon police today lodged an FIR against the company under IPC section 283 (Danger or obstruction in public way or line of navigation) and 336 (Act endangering life or personal safety of others).
However, company official said due to heavy rain yesterday, one truck broke down on the road and caused the traffic jam. He said the company is investigating internally the reason for the jam yesterday.
The jam occurred some time between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM which piled up eventually, causing inconvenience to commuters.
