Ten persons were injured in a 'minor' fire accident at a facility of Fertilizer major Coromandel International Ltd at Sarigam in Gujarat, the company today said.
"A minor fire incident took place at 2pm yesterday in one of the reactors in our plant at Sarigam (Gujarat). The fire was immediately put off. Ten persons were injured and were admitted to hospital," Coromandel International Ltd, part of the Chennai-based Murugappa group, said in a BSE filing.
The company said while five persons were getting treated for burn injuries, the remaining were discharged later.

The plant operations were shut for short duration, it said, adding as a precautionary measure, the reactor involved was isolated.
"The operations resumed at the plant on the same day. The incident is not expected to have any material impact on the operations of the said unit or the company," it said.
Coromandel International clocked revenues of Rs 9,381 crore in financial year 2013-14. The company engaged in fertilizer, speciality nutrients, crop protection and retail. It manufactures wide range of fertilizers and markets around 3.2 million tonnes.
