A fire broke out at the premises of an NGO in southeast Delhi's Madanpur Khadar area this evening but no casualties or major injuries were reported, official said.

The premises belonged to an NGO, founded by social entrepreneur and Magsaysay awardee Anshu Gupta, said a senior revenue official.

The fire was reported around 6.55 PM after which ten fire tenders were rushed to the spot. It took more than an hour for the firefighters to douse the flames, after which a cooling operation was launched, said a fire official.

However, the cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet, the official added.

Teams of Delhi Disaster Management Authority along with three emergency response vehicles from the local police and a CATS ambulance were rushed to tackle the emergency, the revenue official said.
