A railway staffer was today injured when fire broke out at a room of Coach Rehabilitation Workshop (CRWS) at Nishantpura near here.
BK Patel, 59, sustained injuries when he went to switch off the compressor that caught fire. The fire was brought under control in a short duration and the injured was rushed to Railway Hospital, CRWS Chief Workshop Manager Lakshmi Raman told PTI.
He said Patel injured his hands and shoulders in the mishap.
Raman said that an inquiry has been ordered into the cause of the fire, adding the two officers assigned with the job have been asked to complete their probe in 2-3 days.
