A major fire broke out at a private snacks manufacturing unit in Rajasthan's Bikaner district today, police said.
However, no loss of life was reported, they said.
The fire broke out at 'Bikaji Namkeen' factory in Gandhi Nagar Industrial Area and six fire tenders brought the flames under control, chief fire officer Roop Singh said.
Bikaner Superintendent of Police Sawai Singh Godara said that a damage in boiler pipe triggered flames which gradually engulfed the factory. Nearly 500 employees were rescued safely and no loss of life was reported, he added.
