A fire broke out this evening at a restaurant located on the top floor of Antriksh Bhawan, adjoining Connaught Place in the heart of the city, but no one was injured, fire department said.
"A call was received at around 6.15PM that fire broke out in the kitchen shaft of the Parikrama restaurant located in Antriksh Bhawan," said a senior officer from Delhi Fire Services.
The building was evacuated as a precautionary measure.
Seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot and they doused the flames within 15 minutes, the official said, adding that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
