A fire broke out in the computer section of Burdwan University here today, causing damage to scores of computers.
Two fire engines took an hour to douse the flames, fire officials said, adding that one fireman was injured while trying to control the blaze.
A short circuit could have been the cause behind the fire, they said based on preliminary inquiries.
Nearly 70 computers were gutted in the fire, Vice- Chancellor Smriti Kumar Sarkar said.
