A fire broke out at a flour godown in northern Kolkata's Sukiya Street area this afternoon, police said.

Though nobody was injured in the fire, fire fighters and disaster management personnel of Kolkata Police rescued one person who got stuck inside the three-storied building, they said.

Five fire tenders were pressed into service and they fought for around an hour to douse the fire, which broke out at around 12.05 PM at the godown on Ramtala Lane in the area, probably because of a short-circuit, a senior officer of the Force said.
