A fire broke out at a plastic scrap shop in a slum area here tonight but no casualties were reported, fire department officials said.
Twelve fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire which broke out late in the evening at the shop in Sheikh Basti, they said.
"The fire has been brought under control but for precautionary measures, the fire tenders were still at the spot till late in the night," a fire official said.
There were no reports of any casualty, he added.
An investigation into the cause of fire has been initiated, police said.
