A fire broke out in a shoe factory in the Narkeldanga area of the city tonight, police sources said.
The fire broke out in a shoe factory in the Narkeldanga Road at around 9.15 pm, the sources said.
Ten fire tenders rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after fighting the blaze for around one and half hours, Fire Brigade sources said adding there was no report of any injury or casualty in the fire.
The cause of the fire or the extent of damage was yet to be known, they added.
