At least ten families were rendered homeless as over a dozen houses were gutted in a fire that broke out in Berhampura slum under Cantonment police station here today.
Police said no one was injured in the inferno.
Three fire tenders brought the fire under control within 30 minutes.
Fire brigade personnel suspect a kitchen fire could be the cause of the fire.
