Fire breaks out in East Delhi cardboard factory

A fire broke out today at a cardboard factory near Harsh Vihar police station in East Delhi.

However, there were no casualties, the Fire department said.

According to the department, it received information about the incident around 3.30 PM and it dispatched ten fire tenders to the site.

The fire was brought under control but was still burning at 10.15 PM, preventing investigators from entering the building to ascertain the cause behind it, the fire department official said.

The incident occurred in the 500 square yard basement of the cardboard factory, the official said, adding the cause of the fire can be ascertained only after police investigation.
