A fire broke out in a food mill in the district this morning, in which one person was killed and equipment worth lakhs of rupees was damaged, police said.
Satendra (45), a resident of Jharkhand, sustained severe injuries in the fire and was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed, police said.
Another employee was critically injured and has been admitted to hospital, they said.
30 employees were rescued from the blaze, they said, adding that it took over four hours to bring the fire under control.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
