Fire breaks out in printing press

Around 100 tonnes of paper was gutted today in a fire that broke out at a state-run printing press here, but no one was injured.

It took around three hours for six fire tenders to douse the blaze that broke out due to a short-circuit, officials said.

Later issuing a statement, Information Minister K T Rajendra Balaji, who inspected the accident site, said a new godown at a cost of Rs 60 lakh will be constructed at the site.
