A major fire broke out today at a thermocol factory in Kasna village here but no casualties was reported, police said.
Ten fire tenders were pressed into service and it took about two hours to douse the flames, they said.
Workers of the factory, located on site-5 of the village, panicked after seeing smoke emanating from the establishment and rushed to safer places, Ecotech 1 police station in-charge Satinder Kumar Rai said.
Exact loss of goods and infrastructure would be calculated, police said, adding that investigation is on to ascertain the cause behind the fire .
