Fire engulfs Army office in Pune railway station building

A major fire broke out at the Army office located on the first floor of the Pune railway station building here this evening.

Assistant divisional fire officer Ramesh Gangad said the ceiling of the office caught fire at about 7 this evening.

The fire soon engulfed the entire office.

No one was injured while at least ten fire tenders had been pressed into service and firefighting was underway, he added.

The cause of the fire was not yet known.

Railway spokesperson was, however, not available for comments.
