Fire broke out in the storeroom of a private school in West Bengal's Howrah district on Monday, fire officials said.
Old papers and files stored in a room in the top floor of a school in Howrah's Tikiapara area caught fire at around 10.30 am, a fire brigade official said.
Two fire tenders doused the blaze within half-an-hour and nobody was injured in the incident, he said.
Students were yet to arrive in the school when the fire broke out, the official said, adding that the cause of the blaze is yet to be ascertained.
