Fire broke out in a wheat field
and spread to adjoining areas gutting 125 hutments in a village in Bihar's Begusarai district, a district officer said today.
The fire broke out at Dilli tola's wheat field late last evening and spread to adjoining areas in no time resulting in fire in grain stored and hutments, Circle Inspector of the Motihani block, Surender Prasad Singh said.

Several fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames, Singh said.
He said a list villagers affected by the fire was being prepared for payment of compensation.
The reason behind the blaze was yet to be found, he added.
