A fire broke out today in a branch of a private bank, which also partially damaged an adjoining building in Malviya Nagar area in the city, but no one was injured in the incident.
"The fire broke out due to short circuit in the building in which furniture and air conditioners were gutted but no one was injured," said Rohitash Devanda, SHO-Jawahar Circle.
Fire broke out early this morning in the branch of ICICI bank located near a petrol pump in Malviya Nagar area.

He also said that portion of an adjoining building was also damaged in the fire.
"Three fire tenders were rushed to contain the flames," said Ishwar Jat, Chief Fire Officer.
Meanwhile the bank has assured its customers that the lockers and valuable kept in them were safe.
"Customers' valuables stored in the lockers are all safe and they would not be inconvenienced due to the incident. The customers can carry out regular banking transactions at any of the 52 branches and 145 ATMs of the bank in Jaipur," a bank spokesperson said in a statement.
Regular services at the branch would resume at the earliest, he added.
