A fire broke out at the Jessop factory in Dumdum area in the northern outskirts of Kolkata tonight.

This is the third incident of fire in the factory this month.

Fifteen fire tenders were pressed into service to contain the flames which were sighted around 7 PM, fire brigade sources said.

The fire was still raging in the vacant factory yard though under control, the sources said.

There was no report of any casualty or injury in the incident.

Two fires had earlier broken out in the factory since October 10.

Police said they were investigating the repeated incidents of fire within premises of the engineering PSU.
