Fire in LIC office

caught fire in the early hours of the day and two fire engines brought the blaze under uncontrol after about three hours.

There were nocasualties given that the blaze broke out in the early hours and there was nobody in the office.

Fire brigade sources said the fire was noticed by locals at around 5 am and the dousing work by firemen began soon after.

The fire began from a AC machine, the sources said.

LIC senior branch manager Subhendu Kumar Saha said the fire started from the AC machine in his chamber which was completely damaged due to it.
 

However, there was no damage to the records, he added.
