Fire broke out inside the server
room of Presidency University library this afternoon, police said.
The fire broke out at around 1.30PM inside the server room of the library of Presidency University at College Street probably because of some kind of electrical botch-up from the air conditioning machine, a senior police officer of the Fire services said.
Four fire tenders were pressed into service and students as well as teachers were evacuated from the century-old building, he said adding there were no casualties.
