A fire broke out in the store room of Harishchandrapur Rural hospital here today destroying hospital supplies, an official said.
The CMOH Dr Dilip Kumar Mondal said the fire was detected around 1 pm and the blaze soon engulfed the store room.
Two fire engines from Chanchol, nearly 15 km away, rushed to the hospital even as the local people were busy fighting the flames, the CMOH said.

There were no casualties, he said.
The store room was housed in the abandoned old building of the hospital, he added.
