Fire officer caught taking Rs 50,000 bribe

Delhi Fire Service officer Rajmal Khokar posted in Rohini had allegedly demanded Rs 1.50 lakh from the owner of Royal Mirage hotel in Rani Bagh area.

After getting complaint in this regard, CBI officials had laid down a trap to nab the officer.

When Khokar was allegedly accepting Rs 50,000 as instalment of the bribe from the manager, he was caught by the CBI team, officials in the agency said.

When contacted, manager of the hotel Manish Malik told PTI that Khokar has been allegedly demanding the money from August 2 for giving no-objection certificate regarding fire safety norms.
