Just a week after incidents of fire in two trains at Jammu railway station, a minor fire broke out today in a rail coach at Udhampur railway station.
"It was not a major fire and was immediately controlled. No major loss was caused," the railway police officials said.
"The fire erupted in a coach that was to be transported to Srinagar. It was kept in the rail yard and since the entire coach could not be accommodated on the transport vehicle it was being dismantled. The fiber of the coach caught fire due to overheating," they added.
