Firing case: BJP MLA's son, associate get judicial custody

A local court has sent BJP MLA Pratibha Singh's son Golu Singh and his associate to judicial custody till April 22 in connection with a firing case, in which five Congressmen had been injured.

Rejecting the bail pleas of Golu Singh and his associate Yashpal Singh, Chief Judicial Magistrate Ajay Raghuvanshi yesterday sent the duo to judicial custody.

They have been charged with firing at Congress workers on the evening of April 7, in which five people had got injured. The duo was arrested in Mathura yesterday and produced in the court last evening.

Police had declared an award of Rs 5,000 for anyone giving information about the duo.
