Firm conditions prevail at wholesale pulses market

Firm conditions were witnessed at the wholesale pulses market today amid rising demand against tight supplies from producing belts.

Marketmen said besides pick-up in demand from retailers and stockists, restricted supplies from producing regions mainly pushed up prices of pulses.

In the national capital, Arhar and its dal dara variety shot up by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,250-6,300 and Rs 7,600-7,900 per quintal, respectively.

Moth moved up by Rs 100 to Rs 5,700-6,000 per quintal.

Urad and its dal chilka local jumped up by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,200-6,650 and Rs 7,200-7,400 per quintal, respectively.

Its dal best quality and dhoya rose by a similar margin to Rs 7,350-7,950 and Rs 7,750-8,150 per quintal, respectively.
 

Moong and its dal chilka local moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,400-8,100 and Rs 8,200-8,700 per quintal. Its dal dhoya local and best quality traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 8,200-8,500 and Rs 9,000-9,100 per quintal.

Masoor small and bold gained Rs 150 each to Rs 5,550-5,750 and Rs 5,550-5,850 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality were up by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,600-6,700 and Rs 6,700-6,800 per quintal.

In line with a general firm trend, gram, gramdal local and best quality went up by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,700-4,325, Rs 4,000-4,200 and Rs 4,100-4,400 per quintal, respectively.

Urad Rs 6,200-6,650, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 7,200-7,400, Urad best Rs 7,350-7,950, Dhoya Rs 7,750-8,150, Moong Rs 7,400-8,100, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 8,200-8,700, Moong Dhoya local Rs 8,200-8,500 and best quality Rs 9,000-9,100.

Masoor small Rs 5,550-5,750, Bold Rs 5,550-5,850, Dal Masoor local Rs 6,600-6,700, best quality Rs 6,700-6,800, Malka local Rs 6,700-7,000, best Rs 6,900-7,000, Moth Rs 5,700-6,000, Arhar Rs 6,250-6,300, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 7,600-7,900.

Gram Rs 3,700-4,325, gramdal (local) Rs 4,000-4,200, best quality Rs 4,100-4,400, Besan (35 kg) Shakti Bhog Rs 1,700, Rajdhani Rs 1,700, Rajmah Chitra Rs 3,950-5,350, Kabli Gram small Rs 4,250-6,550, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 4,800-5,200, Peas white Rs 2,700-2,725 and green Rs 2,775-2,875.
