Refined soya oil prices inched higher by 0.33 per cent to Rs 748.60 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators built up fresh positions amid uptick in demand at the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in August edged higher by Rs 2.45, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 748.60 per 10 kg with an open interest of 52,840 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders due to pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted arrivals from producing belts attributed to the rise in refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
