Police has lodged four FIRs in connection with kidnapping of women and teenaged girls in the district over the last couple of days.

The father of a 13-year-old girl today said that after initially refusing to register a case, police yesterday accepted to file an FIR on the March 20 kidnapping of his daughter following an order from a local court.

The minor's father has alleged that three persons from his village in the Sidhpura police station area kidnapped his daughter when she had gone to the local market.

In another case it was reported from Harnathpur village where a 28-year-old married woman was allegedly kidnapped when she was alone at home on April 18. Police said they were looking into the matter after an FIR in this regard was filed on Tuesday.

In a third case, four youths, hailing from Mainpuri district, have been named in an FIR for allegedly kidnapping a teenaged girl from Yarnagla village on Tuesday, police said.

The fourth case also involves a youth from the neighbouring Mainpuri district against whom an FIR was registered on Tuesday for allegedly kidnapping a teenaged girl from the Kashiram Awas Colony in Etah town.

Police said that no arrests have been made so far in any of the cases, adding that efforts were on to trace the kidnapped persons.
