First Indo-Bangla joint task force meeting on fake currency

India and Bangladesh held the first meeting of a joint task force on fake currency notes against the backdrop of the border being used to pump in counterfeit notes here.

The Indian delegation was led by Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Inspector General, National Investigation Agency, while Bangladesh delegation was led by Mohammed Helal Uddin Bodary, DIG, Bangladesh Police.

During the two-day long meeting, both sides discussed various measures and mechanism to deal with the menace of fake currency notes.
