The tax practitioners' body and West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences have taken an initiative to organise a national tax moot court competition in the city.
"National level mock or moot court competition on tax is been held for first time in Kolkata from August 16 and 17. This will give students huge exposure to practical life," Moot court committee chairman Narayan Jain said here today.
The competition is been organised by All India Federation of Tax Practitioners' (eastern zone) and West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences.
Tax body's secretary (east) N D Saha said total 17 teams from all over the country will be competing.
