The maiden TV show in Santhali language is set to hit the small screen this year end, said renowned producer-director Dasrath Hansdah.
"I have plans to produce a 20-episode tele-serial in Santhali language. I want to start shooting for the first tele-serial in tribal language sometime in May-June," Hansdah, an award winning producer-director, said.
The script of the show is ready, he said adding that the theme will revolve round the problems faced by the community in their daily life.

"In fact, I am in negotiation with some regional television channels to book slot for the serial as I target to air it by this year end," Hansdah, who had produced and directed over one and half dozen Santhali movies including his award winning "Bardu", said.
"Bardu" had bagged seven awards in the last edition of All India Santhali Film Association (AISFA).
The state government had been spending huge amount of money on advertisement to make tribal masses aware about their various welfare schemes but never made any effort to reserve a slot in Doordarshan to promote their cultural heritage or language, he regretted.
Jharkhand have only four to five film producer-director registered with Eastern India Motion Picture Association.
