In the first successful eye transplantation in Bihar, a man from Begusarai today got back his eye sight at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) here.
IGIMS medical superintendent S K Shahi told PTI that the eye sight of the 40-year-old was restored after a two-hour operation.
Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, who had inaugurated state's first eye bank at IGIMS on Saturday, congratulated the hospital and the doctors for first successful eye transplantation.

The man can now use his transplanted eye totally and can see 100 per cent from it, he said.
