Young Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi today surprised the Lok Sabha when he objected to a remark by a BJP member to describe the previous UPA government.
The Chair, however, expunged the word.
Participating in the debate on Motion of Thanks on President's Address, BJP member Suresh Channabasappa Angadi had used an objectionable word to describe the rule of the erstwhile Congress-led government.

He said Congress has a glorious history for fighting for the country's Independence.
Ratna De Nag, who was in the Chair, immediately expunged the word from records, drawing applause from Congress benches.
Angadi later said he was mentioning about the "divide and rule" policy pursued by Congress.
