FirstSource Solutions Q2 Net jumps over 21 pc at Rs 71.3 cr

Riding on higher revenue and better cost management, RP Sanjiv Goenka group company FirstSource Solutions today reported a net profit of Rs 71.3 crore for the quarter ended September 2016, a jump of 21.5 per cent from the corresponding period last year.

"Our revenue is higher by 12.3 per cent to Rs 884.4 crore during the quarter, but in a constant forex terms the revenue would have been higher to 14 per cent," chairman Sanjiv Goenka said.

"Recently, we signed a five year contract of Rs 250 crore with a PSU bank in India for the first time. Few other major contracts were signed during the quarter," he said.
 

The company was open for acquisition in the niche segments to diversify and add value to its clients in the pure BPO play, Goenka said.

FirstSource has made a few acquisitions including one in data analytics.
