Tension prevailed in Koothankuli village in the district after two groups of fishermen attacked each other with country bombs, police said today.
However, nobody was injured in the clash last night, which erupted after an altercation between them at a wedding ceremony.
Armed policemen led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Balaji are camping in the area and the situation was under control, police said.
