Fishermen of this coastal town will put out to sea tomorrow after a 12 day gap, during which they had demanded rescue of four of their colleagues, reported missing last month.
Assistant Director of Fisheries Department Gopinath said the body of one of the missing fishermen was washed ashore at Thalaimannar in Sri Lanka last week. The fate of the other three fishermen was unknown, he said.
He said that rough seas had prevented the fishermen from putting out to sea earlier. 'Tokens for them to go fishing will be given tomorrow," he said.
The fishermen were on strike from November 30, demanding rescue of four fishermen of this coastal town, who went missing on Nov 28 after they put out to sea.
