Five Amarnath Pilgrims among 10 injured in road mishap

Ten persons, including five Amarnath pilgrims, were today injured in a head-on collision between two vehicles in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A Tavera car, carrying the pilgrims from Kashmir to Jammu, collided with a Tempo Traveler vehicle coming from the opposite direction on Moghal road in Chingus area, police officials said.

The injured were rushed to a hospital, they said.

The injured pilgrims have been identified as Pradeep Kumar, Sunita Gupta, Pankaj Gupta, Virender Gupta and Shiv Kumar of Gorakhpur belt of UP besides driver of their SUV Ricky Sambyal of Samba district, they said.

Four other injured, who were traveling in Tempo Traveller, have been identified as Rashim Bi, Samina Kouser, Mohmmad Javed and Mir Baaz of Rajouri, they said.
