Five arrested for selling duplicate ball bearings

The arrests came following raids at four shops in Kamla Market in central Delhi yesterday. One of the five arrested is Mohd Salim who allegedly makes duplicate ball bearings of the company, police said.

Shopkeepers Mohd Suhail (30), an MBA degree holder, Sheshmani Yadav (48), Mukesh Jain (33) and Parveen Rohtgai (56), were arrested, Devesh Srivastava, Additional Commissioner of Police (Central), said.

They have been allegedly selling duplicate ball bearings of the company for the past two years.

During interrogation, Srivastava said, Suhail told police that he allegedly used to buy the ball bearings from Mohd Naim and Mohd Sajid.

 

Police recovered 582 duplicate ball bearings, 3,748 duplicate boxes and 2,510 duplicate packing among other things.
