Five persons were today arrested in connection with the murder of a journalist in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, a police spokesperson said.
Acting on a tip-off, Gosaiganj police arrested Sandeep Singh, Ajay Singh, Haider Abbas alias Gabbar, Rahul Singh and Pawan Singh, he said.
A 9 mm pistol and two country-made firearms and cartridges were recovered from their possession, the spokesperson said.
Tarun Mishra (32) was shot at by three unidentified persons in Gosaiganj on February 13. He later died at the district hospital.
