Five booked for running job racket

Five persons, including a woman, were booked today for allegedly duping clients on pretext of providing them jobs.

The accused worked in a "fake" job placement agency in Vasundhra area here, police said.

The agency gave advertisements in newspapers to attract jobless youths, according to police.

Mukul Choudhary, a resident of Gokulpuri in Delhi, registered complaint against five persons - Simran, Intzar, Ankit, Ajay and Ikram - at Indirapuram police station.

Choudhary, a B.Tech from Dehradun, in his complaint alleged that the accused recently took Rs 2,500 from him to provide a job, but failed to keep their commitment.

"They had sent me different places for interviews, but could not secure a job for me and denied to return the money," he alleged.
 

The employees of the agency took Rs 2,500 from each applicant to provide them job, police said, adding the accused would be arrested at the earliest.
