Five boys run away from shelter home in Shimla, found within hours : Police

The five teenagers who had run away on Sunday from a shelter home in Chakkar area here have been found, police said on Monday.

The five teenagers ran away from the shelter home at Chakkar at 4:30 pm yesterday, the Boileauganj Station House Officer (SHO) Dinesh Kumar said, adding that they have been found with in hours from the forests area around Sankat Mochan temple.

The intensive search operation was carried out and the messages were also sent to all the districts and to adjoining states immediately, he said.

All the boys have been handed over to the shelter home authorities.

'We do not want to stay at the shelter home and want to return to our respective homes. That was why, we run away from the shelter home," the boys told the police.

 

One of the boy had earlier also run away from the shelter home and was brought back from Haryana recently, the SHO added.
