Rain-related mishaps claimed lives of five children in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh today, taking the toll since yesterday to eight, police said.
Heavy rains are lashing the district for the last three days.
Achyut (5) died in an incident of wall-collapse at Lakshimigari Palli village in Railway Kodur mandal in the morning.

The deceased were identified as M Vasu (8) and M Vasu (9), sons of Badri and Parvathi; G Siva Kumar, the son of Sivaiah and Saraswati; and Y Ganesh (8), son of Mallaiah and Lakshimi Devi, all residents of Boyapalli.
The children were playing in the disused house.
Mandal Revenue Officer Chandramma and police sub-inspector Raghuram were supervising the debris removal operation.
The body of Manemma (45), resident of Kuravapalli of Mudumpadu village in T Sundupalli mandal, was traced at a bridge near Bestapalli in T Sundupalli mandal today.
With this, the death toll in the rain-related incidents since yesterday has gone up to eight.

Meanwhile, the Kadapa district collector K V Ramana said that four help centres (one at the collector's office and three at the revenue division offices) have been established and the people in the low-lying areas and those living along the river banks have been asked to be alert.
A relief centre has been established at Kadapa municipal high school.
About two hundred houses in Nandalur mandal were submerged while over 68 villages in Kodur, Chitvel, Pullampeta and Obulavaripalli mandals have no power supply.
The traffic was diverted from Kadapa-Chennai National highway.
