Five-day police custody for six arrested persons

A local court today sent all six persons arrested in connection with the clash between TMC and BJP supporters in Birbhum district to five days of police remand.

Dilip Dome, Patitpaban Dome, Panchanan Bagdi, Narayan Dome, Seikh Sanaullaha and Seikh Nur Alam were produced in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Indranil Chatterjee, who remanded them in custody.

The police had prayed for seven days remand.

Four persons were injured in the clash between BJP and ruling Trinamool Congress activists yesterday at troubled Parui in Birbhum district during a visit by BJP state president Rahul Sinha to a nearby village.
 

The police arrested the six persons yesterday.
