Five persons died in rain related incidents today in different parts of Uttar Pradesh, taking the toll this season to 232.
Two persons each died in Gonda and Lakhimpur districts, whereas one other was killed in Ballia.
Major rivers continued to flow above the danger mark and according to a report of the Central Water Commission, Ganga was flowing above danger mark in Bulandshahr, Gazipur and Ballia, while Sharda river was flowing above the red mark at Pallia Kalan (Lakhimpur).
Ghaghra river is flowing above the danger mark at Elgin Bridge (Barabanki), Ayodhya and Turtipar (Ballia), the report said.
