Five get life imprisonment in woman's murder

A local court today awarded life imprisonment to five persons, including a couple, in the murder of a woman here in 2005.

Additional District Judge (fourth) Sushil Kumar also imposed a penalty of Rs 25,000 each on the convicts Deepchandra Chaurasia, Rajendra Gaur, Buddhisagar, his wife Janki Devi and Sunita Devi.

The five were accused in the killing Bansmati Devi over a property dispute in Awayan village of the district in October 2005.
