Five people were injured -- one seriously -- when an explosion ripped through an industrial plant in Canada, police said.
Emergency services raced to the Veolia ES Canada Industrial Services site in Sarnia, Ontario to find a raging fire and several injuries.
"Five persons were transported to Bluewater Health in Sarnia with injuries. One person was subsequently airlifted to London (Ontario)," a police statement said yesterday, adding an investigation had been launched.
Veolia ES Canada Industrial Services is a subsidiary of the French water, recycling and waste firm Veolia.
