Five injured in clash over village land

Five persons were injured in a clash between two groups over a land dispute in Nagla Kazi village in Sakeet kotwali here, police said.

The clash broke out yesterday between Abbal Singh and Gajraj Singh over a land in the village. Heated words were followed by supporters of both throwing bricks at each other and exchanging lathiblowsresulting in injuries to five persons, police said.

Abbal Singh and his brother Sarman Singh have also been accused of using firearms, police said.

The condition of Abbal Singh andGajrajSingh is stated to be serious.

Both sides have lodged FIRs against each other, police said, adding that no arrest has been made so far.
