Five people received burn wounds in a fire which broke out in a scrap shop near here this afternoon, Fire Brigade officials said.
The fire, in Bhoirwadi area of Kalyan, is suspected to have been caused by LPG leak, they said.
The injured were admitted to a civic hospital for treatment, they said.
The blaze started in a scrap shop and spread to adjoining shops, leaving five people, all workers, injured, the officials said.
The exact cause of the fire was still not known but preliminary probe suggests it was triggered by leakage from a cooking gas cylinder, they added.
