Five persons, including four policemen, were injured today when a land mine being defused exploded on the border of Palamau and Chatra districts.
Three personnel of the Palamau district police, one of the Chatra district police and a civilian were injured, when the land mine exploded while being defused, Deputy Superintendent of Police Surendra Kumar Singh said here.
The land mine was found during a search on the Chak-Dumarikhand road, he said.
Two of the seriously injured were air-lifted to Ranchi for medical attention.
